Opportunities for Skin Regeneration
Impaired Skin Barrier
(1) Frequent use of strong facial cleansers, scrubs, exfoliating products, or washing the face with overheated water can excessively remove sebum from the skin surface, disrupting the arrangement of stratum corneum cells and intercellular lipids.
(2) Irritating skin care products: Products containing alcohol, fragrances, high-concentration AHAs, salicylic acid, preservatives and other ingredients can erode the skin barrier.
(3) Improper aesthetic medical procedures: Frequent laser treatments, chemical peels and other aesthetic procedures, coupled with inadequate post-treatment care, can trigger skin sensitivity.
Skin Aging
(1) Intrinsic Aging
With aging, the skin undergoes gradual physiological degeneration driven by internal factors, mainly manifested as: wrinkles and sagging caused by collagen loss; dryness and roughness; reduced secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands, leading to impaired skin moisture retention, water loss in the stratum corneum; skin discoloration, including age spots, dullness and uneven tone; thinning and fragility of the skin, with atrophy of the epidermis and dermis, slower wound healing, enlarged pores and altered skin texture.
(2) Photoaging
Prolonged and repeated exposure of the skin to ultraviolet radiation induces excessive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in skin cells, increasing cellular damage and triggering subepidermal inflammation. It also activates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), which directly inhibit collagen synthesis and degrade dermal collagen fibers, ultimately accelerating skin aging and causing wrinkles, telangiectasia, pigmentation and sagging.
